9 tips från MP Dunleavy

A rich man is just a poor man with money

Under flera år har jag följt MP Dunleavey som skriver krönikor på MSN Money, Efter nio år ska hon nu sluta med sina krönikor och avslutar med att samnfatta vad hon lärt sig om pengar i nio punkter:

  1. Time is the most important ingredient in your finances. After that: persistence.
  2. Spend less time understanding how money works and more time understanding how you operate in regard to your money.
  3. Beware of fees.
  4. Living on less than you earn presumes that you know how to save the rest.
  5. Your budget will become unmoored from your life on a regular basis. Make sure you reattach it.
  6. Never shop at yard sales; you'll buy only stuff you'll later want to get rid of.
  7. To be happy, spend time thinking about the things that matter to you. Then, spend money on those things.
  8. If you have one, try not to buy another.
  9. Whenever possible, cook your own food.
